A 90-day sentence for the murder of two animals with an illegal weapon outlines the need for legislative change in the state of Ohio.
The story is clear cut: a firefighter, preparing for a vacation and wanting to avoid the costs and hassles of a kennel, took his two family dogs to the basement, tied them up, and killed them. This week he plead guilty to two counts of animal cruelty and one count of possession of an illegal weapon.
