Woman asks local council to create vicious dog bylaw
An Amherstburg woman is seeking the support of Town Council to create a vicious dog bylaw after her two Shih Tzus were allegedly attacked by a larger dog.

The Amherstburg Echo reports that the woman met with investigators after the incident from which one of her dogs died and learned of lackluster laws for dog owners when it comes to roaming animals, curbing dogs and attacks.

“I was shocked to learn there is no law or bylaw to protect animals from this kind of attack,” she said at the meeting. “I beg you, please ensure this doesn’t happen to another family or another dog,” said Bezaire. “God forbid if it was a child.”
